Visual Communications

The Visual Communications Unit (VCU), is staffed by four Firefighter-Photographers and supports the Department's daily photographic needs including: public relations events; photographing fire scenes for the Fire Marshal's Office; documenting field fire prevention programs; accident coverage; extra alarm fires; and the many activities of the Fire Prevention Division.



Graphic Arts

The Graphic Arts Unit consists of one firefighter with experience in commercial art. This unit is responsible for the creation, design, installation, maintenance and refurbishment of all art work, signs, exhibits, floats, games and other visual aids.



Fireman's Hall Museum

Fireman's Hall Museum During the last few years, the Fire Museum has continued to draw well over 25,000 visitors to its location. Located on a plot of ground granted by William Penn in 1684, the museum unfolds the entire history of firefighting in America. Fireman's Hall is recognized as one of the city's most popular landmarks.

The Fireman’s Hall Museum is located at 147 N. 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106. It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday.
