OUR WORK:
ORACLE
philadelphia water revenue bureau:
The Water Revenue Bureau (WRB) is responsible for handling the water and sewer billing operations for the City of Philadelphia. The Department bills its customers for usage and service. For the past 15 years, the City has been using an internally developed application for their water billing needs.
The WRB decided to overhaul its billing and revenue collection system and chose Oracle to help it through this process. MFR assisted Oracle with developing functional designs specifications, mapping the WRB’s new business requirements to the Oracle applications. Our tasks were to validate the proposed processes with the software (and to identify discrepancies), validate and document user requirements, construct test scripts, and communicate future business requirements. MFR also helped to assist Oracle in change management activities including creating project-wide team status reports and updates.
MFR's technical consultants assisted Oracle with the design and documentation of the new system's application architecture, as well as testing and implementing system interfaces using API's to and from the Oracle Applications release (11.5.9). The staff also helped with configuration management, and developing and testing conversions for customer transactions, payment histories, GL balances, water meter responsibilities and receivables.
