MARIA frizelle roberts:


Maria Frizelle Roberts is the President and Chief Executive Officer of MFR Consultants, Inc. (MFR). She manages the interdisciplinary team efforts of MFR, the strength and versatility of which enables the firm to cater to a diverse client base. Throughout her 20-year involvement in the industry, Ms. Roberts has worked with many public and private sector organizations. As a result of Ms. Roberts’ efforts, numerous organizations have enjoyed expansion, experienced greater efficiency, implemented new programs, introduced new services, and increased their bottom lines. Today with a host of national and local clients, Ms. Roberts is proud of her firm’s reputation for providing personal attention that sets MFR apart from other consulting firms.

Ms. Roberts has made significant contributions to the health care arena as well. She taught at University of California at Berkeley from 1983 to 1986 and also worked with a coalition of young of health care professionals to develop and implement quality health care programs and services.

Ms. Roberts’ development has been enhanced by her extensive travel and networking throughout the United States, Europe and South America. She served as a consultant to the State of Pennsylvania Health and Welfare Joint Sub-committee from 1988 to 1993. In 1992, she established Americans Concerned About Public Health Issues (ACAPH) a “professional think tank” health care committee. The committee meets once each month to discuss health and human service issues and help formulate policies for public health agencies. She is a former board member of the Philadelphia Society for Services to Children and the Multi-Cultural Affairs Coalition. She is a member of the American Public Health Association. From December 1999 to May 2001 she served on Mayor John F. Street’s City of Philadelphia Transition Committees for "Economic Development" (Small Business) and "Management and Operations" (Technology).

Ms. Roberts received her Masters of Public Health degree from the University of California at Berkeley with a concentration in Public Health Administration, Economics and Marketing. She attended the University of Pennsylvania and received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph University with a concentration in Sociology and Abnormal Psychology.
